Re-Opening Thailand To The World in 2022
Tourist and travelers can now enjoy the world’s most stunning and gorgeous beaches, indulge in the best Thai food dishes and experience the special and unique Thai hospitality once again! As the Covid outbreak slowly dies down, Thailand will resume the “Test and Go” from 1st February, 2022 for fully vaccinated travelers from any country around the world.
Fully vaccinated travelers can apply for a Thailand Pass QR code to enter with (almost) quarantine-free travel, but there have been a few changes.
Under the Test & Go program, fully vaccinated passengers will be exempt from self-isolation after testing negative for COVID-19. Passengers must have a negative PCR test issued within 72 hours before travelling. Visitors will be required to undergo two PCR tests after arrival, one taken on arrival (Day 1) and the other on Day 5.
To apply for a Thailand Pass QR code, go to https://tp.consular.go.th/. It is free to register for Test & Go. The Test & Go program gives travelers a lot more freedom to travel and move around, unlike the Sandbox programs where you complete a full 7 days in a particular region or province (although you can roam around freely during the first 7 days).
The head of the World Health Organization said Thursday that the pandemic could be put to an end in the coming year, but only through global cooperation. WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus released statement saying: “As we enter the third year of this pandemic, I’m confident that this will be the year we end it, but only if we do it together.”
All travelers arriving in the kingdom must download and install the MorChana application, and set it on at all times for the COVID-19 precautionary measures and to record the result on Day 5-6 in the application.
Following Thailand’s decision to reopen the country, many airlines including the flag-carrier Thai Airways will reinstate international services beginning February 2022.
If you’re outside Thailand at the moment, but interested in owning a property in the “Land of Smiles,” Thailand’s Top Condo Developer Global Top Group has an Online Service Team that can help guide customers an easy way to travel to Thailand.
